Nike Air Max 1000 “Black/Lilac Purple”

Nike is continuing to test the boundaries of additive footwear with its latest look at the Air Max 1000 “Multi-Colour”, developed in partnership with German 3D-printing specialists Zellerfeld. Due to arrive in 2026, this iteration marks a clear step forward from the silhouette’s earlier single-tone releases, signalling growing confidence in the production process behind it.

The design splits the shoe into two distinct zones. A lilac-toned base supports a black upper section, creating contrast that helps define the Air Max 1000’s sculpted form. The colour blocking works with the moulded structure, highlighting its ridges, ventilation cut-outs and layered depth.

That shift matters when you consider how the shoe is made. Working alongside Zellerfeld, Nike uses a fully 3D-printed construction produced in a single piece. Most additive footwear launches stick to one colour because multi-colour printing demands extreme precision and tighter calibration throughout the print.
