Mizuno Wave Prophecy Morelia Neo “Silver”

The Mizuno Wave Prophecy Morelia Neo “Silver” fuses two of the Japanese brand’s most recognisable design languages into a single silhouette that feels at once archival and forward-looking. Originally announced as part of Mizuno’s hybrid Wave Prophecy x Morelia Neo lineup, itself a celebration of the classic 1985 football boot and the 2011 Wave Prophecy runner, this Silver colourway introduces a sheen that gives the sneaker a modern feel on foot. The upper has the quilted forefoot panels inspired by classic pitch-ready boots, with visible stitch lines that curve naturally across the toe box and midfoot. In silver, those stitched sections catch the light differently from the smoother surrounding panels.

Materially, the pair pulls from what made the original hybrid release stand out: premium panels inspired by the Morelia’s quilted upper, here interpreted through a lighter, more reflective tone, and Mizuno’s Infinity Wave technology underfoot for cushioning that’s as functional as it is expressive. The sole unit, rooted in the Wave Prophecy’s signature air-like Wave Plate design, brings depth and movement to the structure beneath the eye-catching upper. This Infinity Wave Plate system, originally engineered for performance running, forms a sculpted, open-frame midsole that looks almost mechanical beneath the refined upper.
