Captured on the streets of London by photographer Aleix Barau, Mizuno Sportstyle’s first editorial of the year signals a shift in energy. Titled Street Racers, the story moves the Wave Prophecy LA away from the more controlled space it was in and drops it straight into the city’s concrete jungle. London is used as a backdrop in its rawest form, busy, loud and always in motion.
Built for the Concrete Jungle
The Wave Prophecy LS comes in two colourways. The Wave Prophecy LS comes with a mesh-panelled upper for breathability and structure, while a glossy, intertwined exoskeleton adds a futuristic edge to the silhouette. Underfoot Mizuno’s signature Infinity Wave tooling anchors the design, signaling the brand’s performance-led DNA. This combination of materials and construction allows the silhouette to feel perfectly at home while exploring the concrete jungle.
Wave Prophecy LS
The Wave Prophecy was originally developed as a performance-first silhouette built around the brand’s most advanced cushioning system. Introduced as an alternative to traditional foam-based midsoles, Mizuno’s Infinity Wave technology was designed to deliver long-term stability, shock absorption and responsiveness without degrading.
As running aesthetics began to bleed into fashion and lifestyle during the late 2010s, Mizuno’s Infinity Wave recognised that the Prophecy’s construction had potential beyond the track. Naturally, the brand decided to refine the upper, adjusting proportions and elevate materials, all while keeping the Infinity Wave sole intact.
