Mizuno Sportstyle Celebrates the Infinity Wave Legacy With the New Burning Dust Pack

Mizuno Sportstyle has revealed a new editorial celebrating the enduring legacy of its iconic Infinity Wave platform, while simultaneously offering a first look at the upcoming Burning Dust Pack. Bringing together the Wave Prophecy LS and Wave Prophecy 13.2, the latest release reinforces the Japanese brand’s position at the forefront of technical footwear, where performance innovation and contemporary design continue to coexist.

For many sneakerheads, the Infinity Wave sole has become far more than a cushioning system. Since its introduction, it has evolved into one of Mizuno’s most recognisable design signatures, instantly identifiable through its sculptural mechanical construction and distinctive silhouette. The technology has helped establish the Wave Prophecy series as one of the most sought-after models within the technical footwear movement.

Editorial Exploring Community Through Design

The latest campaign celebrates the cultural impact of the Infinity Wave platform by bringing together two contrasting worlds. The editorial explores how the silhouette has become a common thread connecting individuals from different backgrounds through a shared appreciation for footwear, movement and self-expression.

The campaign presents two distinct visual identities that eventually converge, symbolising the meeting point between North and South, refinement and rawness, restraint and rebellion. While each universe maintains its own identity, both are united through their connection to Mizuno’s Infinity Wave lineage, demonstrating how technical footwear continues to transcend geography, style and subculture.

Introducing the Burning Dust Pack

At the heart of the launch is the new Burning Dust Pack, a six-piece collection that introduces new colour treatments across the Wave Prophecy LS and Wave Prophecy 13.2. The paxk consists of two Wave Prophecy LS colourways and four editions of the Wave Prophecy 13.2.

The Wave Prophecy LS comes in Spring Crocus with silver and black accents, alongside a rich Harvest Gold colourway. While the Wave Prophecy 13.2 expands the concept even more with four distinctive finishes. Alongside the Spring Crocus and Harvest Gold, the collection introduces Green Glow and Henna colourways.

More Colourways Coming Later This Year

Even though the Burning Dust Pack forms the centrepiece of the release, Mizuno has also previewed three additional Wave Prophecy 13.2 colourways scheduled to arrive later in September. The forthcoming White, Royal Blue and triple-black editions offer a clean interpretation of the silhouette.
