For SS25, Merrell 1TRL continues to refine its vision of Modern Heritage, a design philosophy rooted in the brand’s outdoor legacy. At its core, the collection explores tension, the space between past and future, trail and city, performance and aesthetic.
Traditional craft references come in the form of open mesh constructions layered with ornate motifs, supplr full-grain leathers and textured suedes. They sur against high-shine finishes, neoprene components and Vibram® sole units that feel distinctly forward-facing.
The Line Up
Several new silhouettes can be seen in the SS26 line-up, some drawn directly from Merrell’s rich back catalogue, others are built entirely new.
Relay Web 1TRL
The Relay Web 1TRL, made from the Sprint family of the early 2000s, makes its debut this season. The silhouette mixes track-inspired styles with a trail functionality. It is a low top design wrapped in full-grain leather and suede overlays. An oversized ‘M’ motif stretches across the upper, while a one-piece heel-wrapping sole unit provides all-terrain grip.
Jungle Trek Mule 1TRL
Elsewhere, the Jungle Trek Mule 1TRL reinterprets one of Merrell’s most recognisable staples: the Jungle Moc. This updated mule arrives dressed in an all-over 2 Tone Torn Camo, a lace-inspired surface treatment that introduces movement and depth. An 80% recycled neoprene collar ensures easy on-off functionality alongside a secure fit.
The Moab 2 Remix
The Moab 2 Remix is constructed from moulded suede leather with full-grain accents. The upper makes this silhouette special, while still maintaining the recognisable Merrell 1TRL DNA. Signature elements, asymmetrical lacing and the iconic Moab sole unit are still intact.
Performance continues to play a big role in SS26. With MTL (Merrell Test Lab) and 1TRL both having a part in the collection. The MTL Adapt Matryx and Skyfire 2 xome in exclusive 1TRL colourways, with Kevlar-infused uppers in seasonal Umber and Comet tones.
A Season That Unfolds
The Merrell 1TRL SS26 collection begins landing online and in retailers from 12th February, with additional silhouettes including the Agility Peak 6, Cham Pack and Moab Slide Woven arriving throughout the season.
