Couverture & The Garbstore: Championing Independent Design
Established in 2008 by husband-and-wife duo Emily Dyson-Paley and Ian Paley, Couverture & The Garbstore is a creative concept store located in a three-storey converted period townhouse in Notting Hill, London. The store offers an eclectic edit of womenswear, menswear, accessories, and homewares, focusing on emerging and independent labels with compelling narratives.
The ground and first floors are dedicated to Couverture, featuring womenswear, accessories, jewellery, homewares, and beauty products. The lower ground floor houses The Garbstore, recognized as one of London’s premier menswear destinations. This section showcases niche, independent labels and serves as a platform for emerging talent, limited-edition products, and collaborations. Additionally, it is home to its eponymous menswear label, designed by Ian Paley.
