Delivering another precise study in restraint, JJJJound and PUMA reunite to revisit one of PUMA’s boldest archival silhouettes, the 1999 Mostro. This time, JJJJound strips it back and rebuilds it through his signature minimalist lens, starting with a rich, tonal Brown execution.
The upper is constructed from smooth premium nubuck in deep mocha hues, anchored by the Mostro’s signature spiked black sole unit. In a move away from the original forefoot strap, JJJJound introduces a more conventional lacing system, lending the shoe a subdued, contemporary character. Inside, a soft butter yellow leather liner adds a subtle contrast, while the PUMA Formstrip is reduced to simple tonal stitching across the lateral side.
