In East London, speed looks a bit different than normal. It’s not about how fast you move, it’s about what drives you to keep moving at all. That has always been the case with House of Errors, a brand that’s always moving. They build words from ideas most people see as chaos, but that is what they’re all about. In their mind, chaos turns into garments.
For years, House of Errors has been shaping its own language through design, detail and story. Every garment feels special. Vitesse, their latest chapter is an acceleration of their philosophy. The name VITESSE French for speed, becomes the brand’s way of talking. The brand sees speed as a form of art, art in the smallest details, how the fabric fits on the body, how the stitches look like, it is in everything the brand creates.
The Pieces That Move
Vitesse doesn’t follow the usual formula, there’s no specific hero piece, no single item to tie the campaign on. Instead, it’s a chain reaction of creative ideas. The Leaking Leather Selvedge Denim starts the story, a piece that’s made to look like it has been lived in for years. Then there’s the Fine Knit Tennis Sweater and Cycling Sweater, two pieces that are about the motion done during heavy exercise. The Pleated Wool Kite Trousers and Pleated Wool Seagull Trousers follow the same philosophy, the names are deliberately picked. The pleats in the trousers are like wings preparing to takeoff, while the Seagull trousers drape slightly, evoking the grace of motion in still air, a signature move for a seagull.
Capsule of Identity and Expression
At the core of VITESSE two conceptual anchors are present. The Crest Capsule and Gallery Capsule, each one a reflection of House of Errors’ philosophy. The Crest Capsule features a hoodie, tee, and cap that shows House of Errors’ insignia. The Gallery Capsule, in contrast, leans into more of a visual storytelling. The Gallery Polo and Duo Tee take inspiration from art spaces and exhibitions, and shoe how fashion and telling a message can be combined.
Among the standout designs within the VITESSE collection, the long-hair fluffy polo shirts arrive in two iterations, one long-sleeved with green and yellow stripes and a solid navy collar, and another short-sleeved version in soft tones of blue, cream, and sky blue. Both polos carry a motif that captures the speed, VITESSE follows, a couple riding a scooter, embroidered across the chest. Adjacent to yhe scooter is an embroidered “E” a simple, yet powerful way of branding their polos.
About House of Errors
Founded in East London in 2018 by designer and creative director Aaron Eshun, House of Error’s was born out of a fascination with contradictions, finding a beauty in imperfections, and the belief identity is different for everyone. Every garment follows the dialogue that perfection isn’t the goal, but embracing imperfections is.
