The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10 marks a meaningful pivot for Brooks as it dusts off one of its early 2000s favourites and reintroduces it in a form built for now. The silhouette was originally launched in 2009 as a performance runner, now the Adrenaline GTS 10 is coming back as a lifestyle silhouette.
The open-air mesh upper that defined the original is retained, giving the shoe a runner aesthetic, all while breathable overlays and metallic hits on the side panels add a tactil, functional touch. In the original, such mesh and reinforcement panels were about letting air flow and keeping the sneakers weight low. Underfoot, the Brooks modernises the experience with its DNA Tuned midsole technology, a cushioning system engineered to deliver adaptive comfort. DNA Tuned pairs dual-cell foam densities the respond differently across heel and forefoot.
One of the best aspects of the return are the colourways. Brooks has slated six debut colourways to the table. There’s a classic tan/silver option that go with every outfit. The muted forest green/silver fits in with the outdoors. For those who prefer a cleaner style, the triple white pair was created. This colourway has bright mesh balanced with silver stabilisation panels, while the white/blue colourway is made to go well with jeans. There’s also a mint/silver option, a shade that fits between a retro and contemporary colourway, with a pastel twist. Lastly the black/blue/yellow colourway is more dynamic, using contrast to highlight the sneakers layered mesh and support panels.
