Alpha Industries, the historic American outerwear brand has joined forces with Seoul-based streetwear label Thug Club for their Fall/Winter 2025 capsule. It is a mixture of two different worlds. Alpha Industries was founded in 1959 and is an authority on functional, military-grade jackets. Thug Club, the young and audacious brainchild of Jiyool Kwon was established in 2018 and draws inspiration from the gritty, creative streets of Itaewon, Seoul.
Alpha Industries has long been synonymous with authentic military-inspired outerwear, from their original MA-1 bomber jackets to the iconic CWU-45/P and N-3B parkas, all their garments are built with durability and purpose in mind. Thug Club on the other hand thrives on subversion, injecting oversized silhouettes, silver hardware and its signature TC logo into designs.
Design and the Magic of Two Worlds
The collection’s reinterpretation of the CWU-45/P, for instance, exemplifies the collaboration. The jacket keeps its familiar flight-jacket structure, but Thug Club’s influence transforms it in a more street-ready garment. The brand hand-applied rivets and metal details that punctuate the nylon shell, giving it a more rebellious touch. The jacket keeps it key functionalities, utility pockets, ribbed hems, and the quilted lining.
The N-3B parka is historically a thick, practical piece designed for the extreme weather. In Thug Club’s hands the parka gets transformed. Propositions are exaggerated and gets the same treatment as the CWU-45/P.
Seoul’s Influence and the Story Behind Thug Club
Jiyool Kwon’s vision for Thug Club has been wild. The brand draws inspiration from hip-hop, motorcycle culture and the night-time of Itaewon. The label is grounded in movement, risk-taking and a defiance of the expected.
The Alpha Industries x Thug Club Fall/Winter 2025 collection is set to drop globally on the 21st of November 2025. It will be available on alphaindustries.eu, thugclub.net and through select retailers, including Alpha Industries’ flagship store in Frankfurt, Germany.
