As the FIFA World Cup 2026 reaches its climax, adidas has once again teamed up with cult London label Sports Banger for a special project celebrating the culture that surrounds football’s biggest stage. The result is the WORLD PARTY Teamgeist jersey, a limited-edition release that brings together football nostalgia, streetwear and rave culture through one of adidas’ most iconic kit templates.
The collaboration celebrates everything that makes the World Cup such a global phenomenon. From supporters gathering in pubs and fan parka to late-nighy celebrations after the final whistle, the collection reflects the communcal spirit that has always existed alongside the sport. Sports Banger’s creative direction gives the jersey a playful personality.
A Fresh Take on the Iconic Teamgeist Jersey
At the heart of the collaboration is adidas’ legendary Teamgeist template, first introduced for the 2006 FIFA World Cup and still seen as one of the most recognisable football shirt designs ever made. Its distinctive curved panel construction and aesthetic became synonymous with one of football’s most memorable eras. Traditional football branding is replaced with WORLD PARTY graphics and playful detailing.
Football, Music and Rave Culture
Sports Banger’s creative direction spent years carving out its own lane within British streetwear by remixing sportswear through the lens of music, rave culture and DIY creativity. Its projects regularly blur the boundaries between football, nightlife and underground culture.
Speaking about the collaboration, Sports Bangee founder Jonny banger explained the inspiration behind the release:

The adidas x Sports Banger WORLD PARTY Teamgeist jersey is available in limited quantities from 17 July, exclusively through the adidas LDN flagship, Carnaby Originals flagship, and adidas MCR stores while stocks last.
